Indescribable

Indescrabable by Chris Tomlin

From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation’s revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God

Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
You are amazing God

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
INCOMPARABLE, unchangeable
You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same
You are amazing God
You are amazing God

You Never Know

You Never Know

You never know when someone
might catch a dream from you.
You never know when a little word
or something that you might do,
May open up a window
of a mind that seeks the light.

The way you teach may not matter at all,
but you never know, it might.

And just in case it could be
that another’s life through you
might change for the better
with a broader, brighter view.
It seems it might be worth a try
to do what you know is right.

The way you teach may not matter at all,
but you never know, it might.

LEAD ME, DEAR TEACHER

LEAD ME, DEAR TEACHER

Lead me, dear teacher every day, in ways that I should go,
Point out fair meadows to me, where lovely flowers grow,
Take my little hand in yours and hold it every tight,
Turn my face to beauty and my heart to loving Right.

No steps are so untrained as yet, my path is not quite true,
I marvel at your many skills and I trust may all to you,
My hands are still so feeble, they drop and spill, and break,
Be patient with my clumsiness for little children’s sake.

My words are few and feeble, nor can I always say
The things I mean to tell you, in any ordered way,
But when you listened kindly, my courage grows apace,
I’m almost eloquent at times, encouraged by your face.

Please let me stand beside you - its good to be quite near,
It gives one self assurance to know that you are here,
To know that you’ll not laugh at me when I’m bold or shy,
Fills all my soul with confidence and there’s nothing I won’t try.

You’ll turn my heart to lovely things - so easily I’m led,
My destiny is being mapped, when you smile or nod your head,
Let’s do a heap of loving, as we journey on our way,
Be generous, be prodigal, for loving me will pay.

Shut from this sweet picture, the vulgar and the base,
All Heaven is reflected in your young or wrinkled face,
Do walk close, so close beside me, my little hand in yours,
I need your learning to be sure, but I need your loving more.

Weaver’s Hand

December 25th, 2005 by liah-lu

My life is but a weaving between my Lord and me, I cannot choose the colors He weaveth steadily. Oftentimes He weaveth sorrow and I, in foolish pride, forget He sees the upper and I the underside. Not ’til the loom is silent, and the shuttles cease to fly, shall God unroll the canvas and reveal the reson why. The dark threads may be needful in the weaver’s hand as the thread of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned.

FAITH

October 21st, 2005 by liah-lu

To live by faith is to live joyfully,

to live with assurance, untroubled by doubts

and with complete confidence in all we have

to do and suffer at each moment by the will of God.

We must realize that it is in order to stimulate and

sustain this faith that God allows the soul to be buffeted

and swept away by the raging torrents of so much distress,

so many troubles, so much embarrassment and weakness, and

so many setbacks. For it is essential to have faith to find God

behind all this.

Friend

May 9th, 2005 by liah-lu

There are certain kinds of friends who can easily discuss all things, who feel so utterly comfortable with each other, see one another’s inner soul, and keep faith when things go wrong.

For friends like these, the length of time they’ve been together is unimportant in determining how well they know one another, and distance means nothing, for true friendship has no boundaries.

If we should ever grow apart in time or distance - today, tomorrow, or in the days ahead - our friendship will still be embedded in my heart, in my mind, and in my soul. Regardless of where you are, know that you have a friend in me…forever
